Properties Unique to the Green Revolutions™ Windmill

(US Patent # 5,823,749)

  • Go "off the grid" or "net-metered" for under $2,000.

  • Extreme simplicity

  • Vertical axis (rotational power to ground level)

  • Omni-directional

  • No governors or controls required for most applications

  • Light weight

  • Self stabilizing (the rotor rides the wind)

  • Low cost

  • Easy to maintain

  • High starting power in low wind speeds

  • Silent running

  • Self-damping sails insuring durability

  • No transmission required in many applications

  • Resides in a plane above the top supporting journal *

  • Convenient hook-up to appliances

  • Extremely versatile (size, configuration, application)

  • Minimal tower requirements (roof mountable)

  • Easy installation (one person installation)

  • Urban compatible

  • Expands applications for wind power

  • Easy to build (Cut and measure parts, off-shelf materials)

  • Serves both practical and recreational applications

  • Portable

*    Unlike other vertical axis windmills, the Green Revolutions™ Windmill requires no supporting bearing  above the rotor. This means that the height of the tower is unrestricted. The higher the tower, the greater the output.

Uses for the Green Revolutions™ Windmill

The system can be portable, or stationary, and can be made any size to apply to your application and wind conditions. Some uses are listed below.
